Required Competencies:
2+ years of art handling work at a museum, fine art handling company, gallery, or artist studio.
Availability with varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience moving and handling fragile works of art with great care.
Experience with museum-level art handling practices; knowledge of archival materials and best practices.
Willingness to be trained on and use OSHA-approved safety equipment such as respirators and protective clothing.
Accomplishments in patching/ painting, roller, and brush finishes.
Gantry and rigging experience are a plus.
Physical Demands:
Ascending and working on ladders, scissor lifts, and scaffolding.
Moving, standing, twisting, and stooping.
Carrying and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Working around paints, cleansers, and other similar products.
Working in spaces that collect dust.
Working on an active construction site.
