Sales Director

The Sales Director will be responsible for driving sales of artworks from artists featured on Arttaca, building and maintaining relationships with collectors, curators, and galleries also in charge of collaborations with physical galleries. The role requires a dynamic individual with strong sales skills, a keen curatorial eye, and an existing network in the art world. This is a remote position with ability to travel to key art fairs, exhibitions, and events.

Responsibilities

Facilitate art sales by identifying opportunities to connect artists with collectors, galleries, and institutions.

Build and manage relationships with a global network of collectors, art buyers, and galleries to drive sales and expand Arttaca’s reach.

Negotiate terms of sales, commissions, and pricing to ensure smooth transactions and long-term client satisfaction.

Act as an art advisor to collectors, providing them with market insights and personalized recommendations on works available on Arttaca.

Organize online and physical exhibitions, pop-up shows, and gallery collaborations that showcase artists in an engaging and marketable manner.

Collaborate with the artists to curate and present their work to potential buyers, ensuring quality presentation and storytelling that resonates with the market.

Establish and maintain relationships with galleries, curators, and collectors, leveraging these connections to benefit Arttaca’s platform and artists.

Proactively seek new partnership opportunities with high-profile galleries, institutions, and art fairs to promote Arttaca’s artists and platform.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in art sales, curating, or gallery management, with a focus on high-value transactions.

Proven track record of driving sales and curating exhibitions for artists or galleries in the fine art sector.

Strong network of collectors, art consultants, curators, and galleries within the contemporary art market.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with high-net-worth collectors and industry professionals.

Expertise in curating and presenting artworks for sales, exhibitions, and online platforms.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity.

Experience with digital platforms and a keen understanding of how to leverage technology to sell art online.

Willingness to travel for art fairs, exhibitions, and events (when necessary).

Knowledge of contemporary art markets and trends, particularly in both fine art and photography.
