Creating a warm and inviting retail environment that both drives sales and fosters genuine customer connections through engaged customer service. 

Delivering a personalized customer experience - identifying needs and wants of customers, cultivating intentional conversations and relations with customers centered around art, culture, and printed matter.

Completing daily operational tasks such as checking out at POS, replenishing and organizing stock on shelves, upholding safety and security, processing incoming stock and outgoing shipments, processing sales & inventory reports, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.

Developing aesthetically pleasing visual displays of books and products.

Assisting with in-store events, including book signings, exhibition openings, and more.

Ideally 1-2+ years experience in a bookstore or retail environment.

Interest in contemporary arts and publications centered around architecture, design, music, film, photography, and more.

Excellent customer service with strong communication and people skills.

Ability to handle fast-paced retail and event environments.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of books and merchandise.

Willingness to work 1 weekend day each week (Saturdays or Sundays).

Job Type: Part-time (15-20 weekly hours) or Full-time (35-40 weekly hours)

Pay rate of $17.28 + guaranteed commissions & café tips
