Truck Driver Responsibilities

• Solo operation and management of vehicle and cargo

• Use of electronic logging device and associated software

• Safely load and unload works on the truck

• Safely securing art on trucks

• Assisting/performing art installation

• Maintain a positive professional attitude with customers using patience as needed

• Availability to operate at least one 5-10 day shuttle run per month

• Keep driver’s license & medical card up to date and maintain a safe driving record at all times.

• Timely communication with logistics management at all times to include on-going trip and schedule updates, road incidents, & mechanical problems.

• Prepare and maintain documentation such as Condition Reports & BOLs

• Proper handling of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furniture to include wrapping, packing, and crating using appropriate industry-standard techniques and materials.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2+ years of box truck driving experience and a clean safety record

• Ability to safely lift 50+lbs individually

• Clean drivers’ license and ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check, and DOT physical.

• Ability to drive up to 26’ box truck

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to navigate a truck in a high urban environment.

• Basic knowledge of mechanical functioning of diesel trucks

• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance as necessary (i.e. checking fluids, tires, identifying and managing vehicle issues as they arise)

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and electronic logging devices

• Knowledge of US highway system

• Interest in Art and Antiques

• Art installation & Packing experience is a plus
