As we enter an exciting new chapter with fresh direction, WORTHLESSSTUDIOS seeks an Operations Manager to lead our organizational logistics and enhance operational efficiency.

Position Overview

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations across all functions at WORTHLESSSTUDIOS. This individual will manage daily workflows, support program logistics, oversee organizational compliance, and work collaboratively with teams to optimize resources, maintain effective systems, and enhance the efficiency of our programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The Operations Manager is a full-time, exempt position which will require work outside of a typical office hour schedule. The salary range for the position is $ 65,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience. WS offers a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage; 401k account, cultural stipend, and generous paid time off and sick leave.

Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring all systems are optimized for efficiency

  • Maintain operational guidelines and implement improvements as necessary to enhance productivity.

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with program managers and artists to support logistical needs for exhibitions, events, and artist residency programs, ensuring seamless coordination and resource allocation.

Budget Oversight

  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage program budgets and resource allocations, track expenses, and support financial planning across departments.

Fundraising and Grant Writing

  • Play a central role in raising funds for the annual operating budget

  • Lead initiatives to secure financial support through grant writing for public and private funders and work closely with the development team to plan and execute fundraising events.

Vendor and Partnership Management

  • Engage and manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Brand and Marketing Oversight

  • Oversee how WORTHLESSSTUDIOS communicates with audiences and stakeholders through various marketing channels

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure cohesive brand messaging across social media, email newsletters, events, and partnerships, amplifying our reach and impact.

Process Improvement

  • Analyze current workflows and identify areas for improvement, making data-driven recommendations to streamline operations and elevate program delivery.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, managing risk assessments and implementing best practices to safeguard the organization.
Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in an operations role, ideally in a non-profit or arts organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for operational efficiency.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for collaboration.

  • Familiarity with financial management, budgeting, and compliance processes.

  • Passion for supporting the arts and working in a mission-driven environment.
