ArtSeed is seeking a Program Coordinator who is knowledgeable about fine arts, passionate about community engagement, and exceptionally organized. This role will be vital to the success of our year-round programming, ensuring that our weekly workshops, summer intensive, exhibitions, and more run seamlessly while maintaining a high standard of artistic excellence.
Collaborate with the Artistic Director to plan and execute ArtSeed programs, including weekly workshops and mentorships, annual Art-a-thon, Spring and Fall Open Studios, annual Fine Arts Summer Intensive, and Exhibitions.
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support events and mentorship programs.
Learn ArtSeed teaching philosophy and methods.
Facilitate fine arts lessons, and step in to teach when needed.
Co-curate showcase opportunities (exhibitions, Open Studios, etc), recruit artists, and manage logistics for exhibitions and receptions.
Maintain a clear system managing the inventory of artistic and educational supplies, and for documenting artwork.
Assist the Artistic Director with daily operations and other administrative tasks as needed.
A formal art school background or equivalent experience, with a deep understanding of fine arts fundamentals and a dedicated personal creative practice.
Naturally organized with a knack for catching the small things others miss and a passion for providing the structure that helps others stay on track.
A genuine interest in the contemporary art world, with a special appreciation for non-Western artistic traditions and diverse perspectives.
A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for transporting supplies and supporting various program sites.
High level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
Comfortable with technology and able to troubleshoot technical issues.
Ability to work a standard schedule of 12–5 PM, Thursday through Sunday, with occasional flexibility for events.
Prior experience in arts education is preferred, along with the ability to mentor with both confidence and empathy.
