Responsibilities

Handle, pack, wrap, and protect artworks to museum standards (soft-pack, travel frames, slat/skeleton crates, glass handling, corner/edge protection).

Load, secure, and transport works in company vehicles; complete condition checks and paperwork at pickup/delivery.

Receive, barcode/label, photo-document, and store works in climate/non-climate storage; maintain accurate inventory.

Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and building staff.

Maintain tools, materials, and vehicles; follow safety protocols (PPE, lift technique, equipment checks).

Support crate shop with basic builds/retrofits and hardware/kitting as needed.

5+ years professional art handling in gallery, museum, or fine-art logistics (installation experience a plus).

Mastery of pads, foams, Tyvek, tapes, and packing methods; confident with dollies, pallet jacks, straps, and E-track.

Strong documentation habits (BOLs, condition notes/photos, inventory).

Clear communication, client-facing polish, and calm problem-solving under time pressure.

Ability to lift 75+ lbs with a team, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in warehouse/field settings.

Valid driver’s license; clean MVR preferred. Bilingual (EN/ES) a plus.

Must be reliable, punctual, professional, and able to communicate clearly.
