The Art Concierge Associate is responsible for promoting, selling and managing Atelier 4’s newly branded Art Concierge service among private clients, their professional advisors and select commercial clients. Art Concierge is a thoughtful solution for simplifying an often-disaggregated approach to managing services for tangible assets.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

The Art Concierge Associate will report to the Chief Revenue Officer. Key responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and acquiring new client relationships for Atelier 4’s Art Concierge services and core services, including local and domestic transport, storage, installation, and international freight forwarding

  • Networking among and marketing to private clients, commercial clients (i.e. galleries), and professional advisors, including attorneys, accountants, wealth managers, multi- and single-family offices, insurance advisors, art advisors, auction houses

  • Relationship management and project coordination for Atelier 4’s Art Concierge services and core services clients; these relationships and projects may be both self-sourced and assigned

  • Project coordination includes: preparing and issuing job estimates to prospective clients using both Atelier 4 assets and out-sourced vendors; managing bookings, entering data and maintaining accurate and compliant project records; coordinating and collaborating with internal departments to provide client solutions

  • Collaborating with peers and senior management on new sales and service initiatives

  • Participate in training and professional development activities as may be required

  • Serving as a Company ambassador at networking and professional events, including Trusts & Estates and Wealth Management conferences, industry conferences, gallery openings and museum events, among others

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of art industry experience, preferably working directly with private clients, galleries and professional advisors

  • Ability to influence the marketplace, proactively drive new business, acquire new client relationships that result in project bookings, nurture and expand existing client relationship

  • Ability to present Atelier 4’s value proposition and service offering to prospective clients and their advisors in a compelling and articulate manner

  • A high-touch, client-focused professional with exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to relate with a diverse array of clients, peers, colleagues, and industry professionals

  • Ability to work well independently, but not in isolation, and with timely delivery on initiatives and projects as driven by sales cycles, client requests or directed by senior management

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related productivity platforms and ability to learn NetSuite

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education; specific arts or art business experience and education a plus

Job Location

In-office, Midtown East, NYC

Work hours: typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; after-hours and weekends may be necessary; travel may also be required

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications
