We are currently looking for a new Art Advisor to join our team in Aventura.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate in art with excellent sales skills with the ability to build strong lasting relationships.
About the position:
The Art Advisor achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the gallery by effectively selling the gallery’s artworks and/or related services. He/she personally promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
The Art Advisor is generally responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery.
The responsibilities of an Art Advisor will include:
generating and qualifying leads
sourcing and developing client referrals
developing and maintaining a customer database
following up on sales activity
maintaining sales activity records and preparing sales reports
responding to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
carrying out market research and surveys
participating in sales events.
Qualifications and requirements:
Business, Art or Art History graduate, with at least 5 years’ experience in the art world (ideally within an art gallery, an auction house)
A genuine knowledge and passion for modern and contemporary art, and an understanding of the art market
Good written and verbal communication skills in both French and English (third language appreciated)
Hardworking and motivated by sales targets, whilst also being able to work independently and efficiently on a wide range of tasks
Ability to work a flexible schedule and additional hours as needed for openings and specific events
Multi-skilled, dynamic team player with a Can-do attitude.
